We have our 5 10 day old pullets on Medicated chick food and I don't want to upset the apple cart as they are doing wonderful, but I am really wanting these guys to be pets and am trying to bribe them into liking us more.
They aren't really afraid of us, but aren't overly friendly either. They sit on your hand and don't fight to get away, but you do have to catch them to hold them.
So... what foods can we offer and when? I was thinking fresh veggies and maybe some fruit in very little amounts. What foods should we avoid?
Another question is should we worm them soon and what should we use?
I have no idea what hatchery they came from other then I think she said Pruit?? I know we have one Araucanian and 2 black stars and probably at least one red star and a ? which is gold and has chipmunk strips ( another red star ??? )
I am planning on ordering a few more chicks as I would like one silky and a barred rock as I love the br. Should I get these soon so they are all closer to the same age so we have less of the " new kids on the block" problems?
Thanks in advance for any help.
