when can you tell breed?

a few of yours look like Easter Eggers or Americaunas. I have 3 Easter Eggers and they look similar to pics #2 #3 #4. You should be able to tell the type in about a week or so. The best way to find out what kind of chicken you have is to search chick breeds online and see if they look like yours. Here are what my three EE's look like...

i am amazed at the different colors EEs come in. i have determined that there are three colors of the four i believe to be EEs. of the three that initially looked the same, one is less orange than the other two now, though the lightest one now looks more like the oranger ones, just the head is still different.

and the three that i have no idea on yet (the runt and the other two that look like her) might be brown leghorns. they looked just like one of the chicks in the photo on McMurray's website when they were that size. the only other one on their site that matches is the dark cornish. so maybe the runt is a cornish and the other two are leghorns? no idea. i suppose time will tell there.

and i'm thinking the red one is a RIR. so far none of the feathers that have come in have any white on them, and it is my understanding that sex linked reds would. i could be wrong, but that i what i'm thinking.

i still have no idea about the no-longer-white one. i can't figure out what would start white then get grey on it's wings and tail (and starting to be on the body too). maybe Delaware?
