when did DELETE go away??

Yes I understand this, but on the other hand its strange when you reply to a post that has been deleted, then the whole thread goes haywire. Its much easier to just apologise for your mistake, Ive had to do this many a time cause of no coffee!! or just read the posts carefully and dont post anything which could cause you embarassment later, which is also what ive done!!!
Look just go out for a jog and think about this!!!!

I did not say i dont understand, and i did not say i was never going to post. But if i cannot delete a mistake, i will only post if i really need to. I will keep reading because i love to look at pictures, but i just know how i can screw up my typing and i depend on being able to fix that. I understand how it can screw up a post, but to ME thats better than someone feeling like a total jerk because they made a mistake.

Its not right that you cannot take it back. I feel that delete has saved me big time .....

Consider using the "preview" button to catch errors or reconsider content ..... before submitting.

Typing errors should not be fixed with the delete button. Use spell check or preview prior to posting or push the edit button to correct the content of a post.

If, after realizing that there was a mistake or misunderstanding, and a member finds that they do not have an appropriate response to contribute, they could merely edit their post and leave a comment to reflect that.

Being able to edit the post should be sufficient.
I edited this post several times.....

I wish that we could have the delete button back. I was typing up a post on our new puppy, got up before finishing it to check on one of my kids, and my 18 month old son posted it several times. I spent what seemed to be forever trying to get rid ofthe extras. And it would have been nice if I could have fixed it all, without having to wait for ever for one of the mods to figure it out and fix it. In that type of situation i think we should have a way to delete things.

We don't mind, though. That's our job. We know what can happen with kids and animals. I've deleted multiple posts many times already and believe me, it's about the easiest thing I have to do in this job.
