When did your Brahma’s start laying

Hey everyone, Just curious when your Brahmas started to lay eggs?

I thought as soon as 24 weeks old but I know some have started laying around 28 weeks old.

Mine is 29 weeks Sunday and no egg yet. All 3 of my others(mixed flock) have been laying for 6-10 weeks. I have read that they can take up to a year to lay but that 6-8 months is more in the normal range. Hoping she lays before spring! I am still only measuring her pelvic bones at 1 1/2 fingers wide, and she is not very big for a Brahma, maybe 5-6 pounds. She is a sweetie tho and we love having her around.
