when did your white leghorns start laying?

My Snow White laid her first egg on thanksgiving day, just 2 days shy of her 19 week birthday.

Her eggs got larger until day 5, then she started laying soft shell eggs & skipping days. I changed her feed to Layena added oyster shell and a light, have now gotten 4 hardshell eggs in a row!

mine is not white but brown and she is now 25 weeks and still haven't gotten a egg yet as well as the other.

Approximately 18 weeks. Previous owner was not SURE of their age, but that is what he thought. Got first egg ninety minutes after they arrived lol. But, you would think with his daughter showing these chickens at the state fair, he should have known????

We have 3 white leghorns. The first one laid at 20.5 weeks and the other two were laying within a week or two later.

My WLH was 16 weeks when she liad and a GREAT layer! Tiny bird though she always seemed to be so skinny! I never knew where those eggs came from! LOL! This is Bugs our WLH!!!! Sweetest girl! ((But you also need to take into account WHAT time of year the chicken was matured enough to lay? My girl started laying in August so it was still very warm and lots of bugs ad fertile ground!))
