When do Barred Rocks begin laying?

Hi all,

We have three hens all about 20 weeks. Our red sexlink/Golden Comet began laying two weeks ago and she produces an egg a day, but we've had nothing from the other two (Easter Egger and Barred Rock). The Barred Rock is definitely fully feathered with bright red comb. Can anyone tell me what the usual time frame is to expect eggs from this breed? The Easter Egger seems a bit farther behind.

Heavy breeds take longer to start laying, just as they take longer to mature and grow. If her comb is bright red then she shouldn't be far off. Some start laying quite early and some don't, give her a month or so longer and you should be getting eggs or be able to tell

My barred rocks started laying at ages ranging between 23 and 27 weeks.

My BR were 22 weeks, I have 2 EE that are 38 months and still don't lay.....

They have till the end of august, if they don't start they gone
