When do BW chicks start getting flighty?

How many days can BW chicks be kept in a 24" high brooder box before it's time to cover it to keep'em from escaping?............................. 5 days?.........7days?..........10 days??????????????

They're flighty before they dry....

As far as how old before they can successfully fly out of your brooder.... probably 7 to 10 days.... kinda depends on how quick they start feathering out.

I have 10 day old BW babies and they haven't tried to hop out yet. They scurry and run a lot but no jumping out
