when do chicks and mommy go back in the coop?

I have a banty with 6 itty bitty chicks. We're building a permanent run that will be inside the chicken yard, and attached to their little broody pen. I have 9 obnoxious Red Stars (but they're good layers) that generally yield to my banty's whims. Can they all go into the coop together, or should I keep the chicks separate from the big girls even after mom is through with them?

It's best to keep the chicks seperate from the Red Stars as the Red Stars could kill them.

But, how long til I should let the chicks into the yard with the big hens? Miss Prissy says about 5 or 6 weeks and mom will be done with the chicks, so I should keep the chicks separate from the big girls even after that?

Keep them separate but when they're mature enough you can probably let them in
