When Do Cochin Bantams Start Laying?

Hi! I'm fairly new to the world of chickens and I have a small mixed flock of chickens that includes both bantams and standard sizes. A lot of my hens have already started laying, including one of my bantams. I have a cochin bantam who is almost 6 months old and hasn't begun to lay yet. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them or knows of another forum I could refer to. I have a silkie that hasn't begun laying either, but I hear that it's typical for silkies to start laying for a while. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Cochin Bantams take a bit longer to come into a lay. 6 months is about right. If her comb is red and bright, she should start laying soon. Also, be aware she may be laying but hiding her eggs.
