When do Coturnix quit laying?

I was wondering when they quit laying. I thought I read somewhere that they quit at 1 year old. I was thinking once I get my eggs, raise them and take their eggs and hatch out new ones, then take the old ones and butcher them every year! Is this a good idea or do they lay longer?

They lay until they die. After a few years it may not be every day but it's still laying
