This is a Black Sex Link hen. 5 months old.
I noticed she walks like John Cleese in the ministry of funny walks. That's the best description I can come up with. She is stiff legged. I do not know what this is.
I have a video. Toward the end you can see the walk I'm referring to. She seems off balance too. Like when she just stands there, she shifts here weight on her peg legs.
I don't feel anything swollen or hard.
When I go to pick her up she will lay down as if she's waiting to be bred.
I do not know if she is laying. One hen is laying soft shelled eggs, and my guess is its her since she's the only one acting weird. I can isolate her to find out, but right now, I am not.
I do not plan on taking chickens to the vet. If it's something I can treat myself, cool. Otherwise, I can end their suffering. Any ideas?

To add. all chickens are still on starter grower feed. They get black soldier fly larvae as treats, along with hard boiled eggs, applesauce, and scratch grains. they are free range and get all the bugs etc. they do have limestone grit available, and lots of fresh water. Its been SUPER HOT here lately, but this weird walk started weeks ago. So its not really new.

I'm not familiar with the Ministry of Funny Walks, but what I'm seeing is, it looks as though she is favoring her right leg, the one with the purple band. She steps forward with a big stride with that foot and steps it down quickly. I'm not sure what that means, though. Tendon?
