When do duck begin to lay eggs?

I have two 7 month old Magpie ducks and a 1year old as well. The 1 year old is the momma, and she has not stated to lay again. And the 7 month old ducks have not either. Do they start again in the spring?

My 7 month old Muscovy ducks just started laying about 2 weeks ago and one adult just started laying this week so I'd say you should start to see eggs soon, daylight is getting longer and mating usually gets them started,.

Thank you! We were getting nervous..thought we'd done something wrong. The ducks were kind of a test, and then I fell in love with the crazy animal.

It is easy to fall in love with them they are so endearing and funny and silly and ... Have we seen pics of yours?
