I have 3 1 year old ducks that are the remnants of my duck flock that was all attacked by dogs. These 3 all were injured, 2 not as severely. Within days of the attack the 2 started molting. A week later the 3rd girl started molting. Is this the normal time? My chickens always molt in the fall. I have had ducks now for a full year! After having them and raising more ducklings, I like them more than my chickens.

Yes, ducks should be starting their prebasic molt now. After they complete the body molt, they'll molt their wing feathers, and start their pre-alternate molt in the fall.

Thanks, their flight feathers are almost all grown in. They sure do have a lot more feathers than the chickens. It almost looked like a snowstorm in the coop.
