When do ducks start laying eggs?

What age do ducks start laying eggs?

I think it depends on the breed but I had pekings laying at 6 months old. The mallards didn't start until spring which was 8-9 months and then they only laid for about a month and a half.

I have asked this same question on another link and the answers varied from 18-24 weeks....depending on the breed..does anyone know if this is correct or not??
