When do Ducks start laying?

My runner ducks hatched the end of July and started laying... I think it was some time in December.

I'm in Kansas, have 8" of snow on the ground and my Muscovies have started laying already.

Breeding season is just beginning to begin! My drakes are getting a bit more "active" now.
One of my guys is still trying to figure it out, yesterday I saw him start out in the right place, but little by little he worked his way towards the front of the hen until he was finally off her.

I'm sure he's gonna get it right eventually.
Congrats on the egg! Egg laying depends on so many variables, but usually ducks would be starting to lay soon if they haven't already.
How old are they?
