when do guineas lay?

My female guinea is about 8 months old and hasnt started laying yet. Is she waiting until spring? Are chicken the same way? My youngest are about 5-6 months are they arent laying yet either. Thanks.

My guineas usually don't lay until June or so, so mine are usually almost a year old before they lay. I'm sure it also depends on where you're located and what the weather is like.

Guineas are seasonal layers and dont lay over winter; the exception would be the French Guineas, if given proper lighting.
