When do hen start to brood

Is she setting on fertile eggs?
 
she hatched out 10 chicks last week. i took them and then i put some more fertile eggs under here and she is sitting comfortably, I had a buff orpington hatch 6 chicks out a couple weeks before that and i also have two broody gamehens sitting on fertile eggs

Be careful with that--Sitting on eggs is hard on them since they do not eat or drink well. They also become prone to mites,lice and other parasites. She should have snapped out of being broody when the eggs hatched

lol i know what i'm doing but thank you, I have been around chickens for almost 20 years and I have picked up a thing or two. If i thought her health was suffering I wouldnt have given her more eggs, she gets up drinks and eats, all of my broodies do and they go back to sitting, I tried breaking her a couple times and shes content so i am too

;) A lot of people that do not know much about poultry read these posts.

you know what you are doing but others do not. Broody hens will die from being broody too long. I have seen that happen to quite a few people.

I am sorry you could not break her! I can usually break them but did have one go broody three times in a year.
