When do hens eggsactly ?

Ihave 3 hens that lay everyday. I have now 12 eggs in the nest .No one wanst to sit on them and hatch em out.. how long do they wait ? 20 eggs? 30 eggs ? or do they not going to sit at all on them ? where is a broody hen when ya need one

Some breeds will not hatch or ever go broody.

I agree it pretty much depends on the breeds as some tend to be more broody than others.

You need a silky! Mine went broody already this year! I have always made sure I had a broody before I started collecting the eggs in the box.
