When do hens start clucking?

My two girls are about 7 weeks and still squeak. When do they start to sound like "hens" and by that I mean make that adorable little clucking sound? Just curious. People here are such a great resource.

It varies...my two BO boys were still refusing to cluck by the age of 17 weeks. They 'honked' for weeks instead, which just sounded ridiculous

The last batch of chicks on the other hand were clucking by 13 weeks. Are they still cheeping or have they started the 'honking' yet?

My others started around 3/4 months old. Right now my babies are 2 months and still peeping.
