Are they with a broody hen?I have chicks about three weeks old when do I introduce to flock
Very broody the mother henAre they with a broody hen?
Quote: I'd introduce them now before chicks get any bigger and while mama is still protecting them.
There are lots of variables tho.
Was broody sitting nest and been with chicks separated but within sight of the rest of the flock?
That can make a huge difference.
There may be fights...broody may have to re-establish her pecking order status.
All the usual integration tips apply...lots of space, multiple feed/water stations, places to hide 'out of line of sight'(but not in a dead end trap) and/or up and away from aggressors, etc.
