when do I add chicks to existing flock?

I have 4 week old chicks that are just about fully feathered, I'm thinking about introducing them to the adult hens in a couple weeks, is it too early?

Not if you do it right. I have 11 month olds, 11 week olds, and 6 week olds all in the same coop. I had less older birds so the smaller ones don't get beat up too bad. The number of smaller birds and places they can get that the bigger ones can't makes all the difference. I'd do it late afternoon and watch them for a few hours.
