when do I feed oyster shells?

When do I feed my chicks scratch, oyster shells, etc? I have a week old chick, 3 week old chicks, and a month old Silkie.

Most feed companys have a starter that the chicks are on from 6-8 weeks then a grower from until 14-16 weeks then you will start with layer, scratch, oystershell.

they don't need such until they are laying and you feed the layer feed
