Hello,

My chickens are now 6 weeks old and I just moved them out to their coop. I also moved their heat lamp out there and I have a question. When can I stop using the lamp? The nighttime lows here are around 36 and the daytime highs are about 50.

Thanks for your help!

Ryan

They should be fully feathered now, that's when they really don't need the lamp. They definately don't need it during the day, if you want to keep it for another week or so at night, just please please make sure it's not going to start a fire!

i keep my brooder inside, its just a box. so i only use the heat light at night. They are only almost a week old, It seem fine to me. So if they are 5 -6 week IMO it should be fine. But what do i know im still new
