when do i start with the mite powder?

hi all were still very new to this and was just wondering when do we start with the mite powder?
we have four chickens in all we have a brahma, two pekin bantams and a pekin/silkie
all female.

you would also treat bedding, building and the chickens individually, if you actually have a problem or occasionally as a preventive.
