Hello,

I have two pullets (well, one is a roo) anyhoo, they need to get out in the world and I was not sure when or how I should introduce them to the rest of the flock. I have 4 hens and a roo. Is there any advice about the best way to introduce them? Stuff to avoid? Should I just shove them right into the coop? As it is right now I have the two that need to be introduced in a pet carrier outside the run, all the chickens are gathered staring at the new comers.

Thanks!

I added hens to hens when they were 16-18 weeks old. When they were ready to eat the layer pellets.

I always add chickens at night into the coop.I have no idea on adding another roo especially to a small flock. If the young roo accepts being second to the older one things should be ok,but some have said their number 2 roos crow constantly.Best wishes!
