I buy the mini pellet layer feed. And I buy a scratch grain with grubs, although I am not sure if it's BarAle or not but they love it.

It's so funny you mention the BarAle, the other eggs that I hatched in this hatch-a-long are from my friend, who now feeds BarAle to her birds and she swears by it. Her horses are doing great on the BarAle complete feed too, so I'm going to be buying a bag of that for my older gelding who is starting to drop a little bit of weight over winter. I might actually switch over to that for my chickens soon, but we've been happy with the results of the Nutrena.

We have been fortunate that there are no grain mites in ours yet!! What a nightmare @2ndTink that makes me afraid to buy more

Thanks for all the support everyone!!! Every hatch is such a wonderful experience. I never dreamed it could have gone this smoothly.

A few of the kids parents have come in in the mornings to view the chicks - and more people want chicks than I have to give, so I very well may have another hatch along in the very near future! we will see! (I hope so!!)

I feed Nutrena All Flock! It's nothing super fancy or too expensive for a smaller flock - but can't argue with these results! We will have to see how the next hatch goes, another parent confirmed she would like an additional dozen, so I will be setting about 12 more eggs on Saturday!

Ooh goody, count me in if you do another hatch-a-long!
