when do males start to mate

hi i have 14 quails in an eglu with lots of cover, my quails are now 9 weeks old and i have not seen any of them mate. the girls are laying lots of nice eggs and they all seem very contented together. when should they start to mate.

I don't have any quail but based on chickens 5 to 6 months

I'm sure people have said the boys can start pestering the girls from as young as 6 weeks old
