WHEN DO MALLARD'S USUALLY HATCH DUCKLINGS?

I have a female and a male mallard duck and i'm wondering when their going to have some ducklings.

Mine usually set in spring and fall.

The hen should start laying a clutch and setting in the spring. As Kevin has mentioned some of the more domesticated lines will hatch a second brood sometime during the season. All this being said some will lay and incubate just about any time of the year.

Mine just started laying again (they stopped for the month of January.. too cold maybe?) but no one has been sitting on the eggs... they just lay them in the middle of the pen and walk away. I have 2 hens and 1 drake as well as a Cayuga hen. They are about 8 months old so not sure when they will take an interest in setting on the eggs but they are laying.
