mine is a little over three months and i keep finding his belly feathers all over the house. He is a barred muscovy so I am kind of excited, I'm not sure what he will turn out like [IMG]

ps. his voice is also starting to change, getting all whispery. he is loosing the sweet little chirp he used to have!

I think their first molt is around 10 or 12 weeks. Your duckling will probably lose most of the barring except for on it's belly & back but that might not happen completely until their first adult molt, I forget, really.

Actually I think that they will lose the barring with their juvenile molt. Adult molt is during the first fall.

Darn, so it's a ways a way? Will he change any from this molt to the next?
