When do Muscovys start laying?

i have no clue, sorry, but heres a tip-
most duck eggs incubate for 28 days, scovies take 35 days, I threw away "no good eggs" at day 30 .... and there were living, healthy, baby ducks in there... I felt horrible.

Maybe this will help once they actaully do start to lay lol

I never seem to get a straight answer on this either, I've heard 4-5 months and then i've heard next spring, mine are 3 months old . Hoping someone that got some last spring can tell us....

I know for a fact that at least the scovies I have had did NOT lay at even five months old--but maybe it is affected by climate.

Maybe in the south??????? But still, laying is affected by LIGHT, not by mere temperature.

I didn't notice where you are located, but I wouldn't expect any eggs till next Spring. Scovies are, in fact relatively poor layers, compared to alot of Mallard-derived ducks.

Very seasonal............

My first pair of hens started laying eggs at 4mths and honestly I have found my Muscovy to be pretty decent layers.. i gets eggs every week and this was even during winter.. I have a broody hen right now she's setting on a nest of more than 10+ eggs... she's a 1yo.

Is there a male around? If not then you won't have any babies
