when do my chicks dont need a heat lamp at all. mine are at 6 weeks

I usually put mine out in the coop with no heat lamp by 6wks.Usually by that time they have started to feather out nicely (loose their baby fluff and get real feathers).Depending on the temps where you are.I find in the summer they don't need much heat at all you can tell by the way they act in your brooder if they huddle together their cold if their running all over their warm enough.and if their all at the farest ends of the brooder their most likely too hot.Someone else with more experience may be able to help you more but, in my experience that is how I have worked it and so far everyone's been fine.
