when do pullets lay their first egg?

It really varies depending on the breed, the individual chicken and when they were hatched.

I'm sorta wondering the same thing. I have 3 Barred Rocks & 3 Dominiques that are just 20 weeks and starting to lay but they are only producing 1-2 eggs daily so far and I'm not sure which ones are guilty - anytime soon I am expecting more eggs

My Chanteclers started laying around 30 weeks so it really does depend on the breed.

What I've learned is that no breed starts laying early enough to prevent their keepers from wondering and worrying.

My White Rocks were at 18 weeks. My Buff Orps are still not laying at 22...same conditions.
