When do rooster hormones kick in?

I think I have a boy or two, and I want to know.

Mine started crowing around 4 months old and fighting with the other little roo with him. He started herding the hens around 6 months.

Ok. Mine are/is a couple of Dominiques, around 13-14 weeks. They are named Salt and Pepper. I’m still not totally sure, as they are my first and so far only Doms.

You're not totally sure they are males?
Did you post pics in the gender forum?
They can start mounting by 12-16 weeks, some try even earlier.

Maybe mine are female then. I did post pics, but I got a few mixed replies and ‘wait a bit.’ So...

Ok, I haven’t seen any of that yet. Here is a pic of Salt a week ago:

13-14 weeks is hard to tell, saddle and hackle feathers aren't grown out yet,
but they can be 'red' from exertion.

I can tell better at 4-8 weeks by the color of comb.

of them at 7 weeks both look like males to me.
