When do roosters start crowing?

I am going to order some chicks from a hatchery and am wondering when the roosters will start to crow, I'm probably going to get buff orpington.

Average is probably 12-16 weeks. Some crow much sooner and some much later.

My RIR didnt start until he was 20 weeks old and the amusing part is that his crow is very high pitched.

Orpingtons have always been the last to crow around here. Normally around 3-4 months old.

My earliest was five days old and the latest one here was 18 weeks. They start anytime they feel like it.

Mine started just recently at about 10 weeks. He is an EE.

Here's one I found that is on UTube. Sounds like dial up Mine sounds a little funny now..but the one on that video is really funny.
