When do Royal Palms start showing black in their feathers?

I received a "Hatchery Surprise" from Cackle that hatched on April 1. I cant tell if my 5 week old white poult is a BBW or a Royal Palm. These are the only 2 white breeds Cackle offers. She is not growing as fast as I would imagine a broad breasted would grow, so I'm thinking she a RP. She is currently all white. When do RP poults start showing black in their feathers. Thanks

Thanks! I never did find out what the poults were. They died a couple of days after I posted, I still do not know what happened, but I think they were BBW and since I thought they were RP I didnt limit their feed, so that might have something to do with it. I have never lost a poult that late in their development so it was very strange.

Sorry to hear that Im moving to AK and want to do the homestead thing. so Im here trying to learn Happen to run acrossed ur lonely post and was curious. Ive been eyeballing Cackle do you luke em overall? They are cheep cheep cheep. That is weird on the poults tho

I adore Cackle! I try to only do business with them, would recommend them to anyone. From chicks, ducks, to turkeys I've always been very happy with them. And the cackle surprise is so much fun!
