When do Silkies mature?

Usually, When do silkies begin to lay eggs?

Most of mine take at least 6 months. My spring girls just started laying last week.

Oh really? My splash hen isn't laying i got her when she was about 4 mnonths old and that was in JANUARY!

Mine are around 5 months no eggs yet . Soon though hopefully.

It may just depend on the bird and the ways the owner cares for them.

Mine usually start around 8 months or so. They start alot later than other breeds.
