Congratulations!!!!
I am currently going threw my first home made incubator hatch. I am hatching button quail and they are suppose to hatch at 16-17 days.
Time passed and it was day 22 and then they came. I have the second lot I set in there hatching now. There are two pipping, but are taking their time again. My temp is right on target, but it was weird how they are all taking so long. I got around a 60 percent hatch rate, which I think isn't too bad for my first time.
And the reason I had to make an incubator is my button quail wouldn't go broody and now all 3 hens are sharing a nest, taking turns sitting and there are around 25-30 eggs there. The roo is in charge and marks when their shift changes by calling out over and over again. Then the next hen takes over. He even joins them from time to time.

They are 6 out!!!! 2 more are trying! But now that I got th humidity tostay above %60, the temp is only 96.... It is turn all the way up!

Mine never dry fully..your temps were on the low side so you had a delayed hatch is all:-) I pull my chicks out in am and before bedtime..I "try" not to open that bator unless It's for alot all at once to get things over with-pulling chicks out-pulling old shells out-replacing wet washclothes-I recruit my family to come and help all at once-we all have a "job" when that bator opens...congrats again:-) Pictures too please???
