When do you get your spring chicks?

I'm planning my hatching for next year and was wondering when most folks start looking to get new chicks. I know for sure that I want them available before the local feed-stores have theirs. I do local pick-up only. Any suggestions?

Are you shipping or just selling locally? That'll probably make a big difference in which members' replies are most applicable.

Local pick-up only as it stays too cold around here to ship chicks out in the early spring.
