When do you open your coop doors?

I'll answer and hope Elmwood doesn't mind.
I just go outside and holler, C'mon girls! All the girls and the rooster come running. Course most of the time they've already heard the kitchen door open and are on their way before I can let out a peep.
I know some folks use here chickie chicke!

Thanks! I am getting ready to be a chickie mama this week and need to learn as much as I could. I guess, they are trained to come when you supplement training with treats.....

My chickens don't live with me, so their door stays open all the time. However, they do have a fenced in, covered run.

Usually between 7 and 8. They are in a run with a plastic mesh top. We have hawks, raccoons and coyotes. I worry about them on Fri and Sat since we don't get home from work till 10. So far knock on wood they have been ok and we lock the coop doors up when we get home. On days we are home I lock the doors at dusk after they put themselves to bed
