When do you replace old quail roosters?

I dont want to butcher the older roos, as iv grown attached to them. I just wanted to know if i have to replace them yet. Would it be ok to put the older roos with younger ones to increase fertility with like 5 or 6 hens?

Are you planning on butchering them later or not at all? If you don't want to do it at all, could you separate them out in a different enclosure (maybe with some retired females) and use the younger males as breeders?

Also, are the four older males in the same enclosure or separate ones? How many females are with them? Just wondering so that I can get an idea of the situation.

I was just wondering. I only have 2 females that are there age or alittle older. Thay are in separate cages with (i know i need more) 1 to 2 hens each. Im working on getting more hens for them. I have 12 chicks that will be ready in 3 to 4 weeks (will be 5 to 6 weeks old)that im shure that i have hens in. I was wanting to make a retiree cage but i only have 2 females as old as them mabey 2 more i have to check when they were born.
