When does "cheep cheep" become "bok bok"?

Some pullets I hatched are ten weeks old today! But they still make chirping noises like chicks as opposed to the sounds adult birds make. When do their vocalizations tend to change?

Mine are around the same age and some still cheep, so I think that's normal. However, if I may piggyback, some of my chickens have a raspy vocalization that sounds like a cross between a cheep, a bok, and a train whistle. Is this normal or need I worry about them having irritated tracheas for some reason?

I have a hen who has been on the fast track to development since she was 6 weeks old (BCMXBarnevelder) and she started going "bok, bok" about a week+ ago. She's 16 weeks. We expect her to be the first to lay eggs. The others are in between, a little more on the "chirp, chirp" side but you can hear their voices changing (thinking Peter Brady). It's interesting to see the transition.
