when does the beak pop out in candeling?

    i have an egg that i have had incubating and i have been candeling it but i dont know what day its on [​IMG] and i was wondering what day you can see the beak pop out[​IMG]

    Depends on how regular and proper your temps have been. Can be anywhere between 18-22 days. If you are candling daily, your first sign will be a triangular shadow in the air cell and draw down of the air cell. That will let you know you probably have somewhere around 2 days as they can be internal pipped a good day before externally pipping. Once they externally pipp, usually you see just a crack, or pushed up shell for many hours before they progress. Again, it can take a day before they start zipping after initial pip.
    If your temps were right where they were supposed to be, generally you see the first internal pipping taking place day 20 ish. If you bator ran warmer than it is supposed to be, it can happen between days 17-19. Colder than needed temps will result in delays and no action until day 21-23.
