When does the peeping turn to clucking?

I am definitely starting to hear the occasional squawk and cackle from my 5 and 6 week olds. Very amusing. Sorta like a teenager who's voice is breaking.

My six-week-olds are coming out with the occasional strangled peep-cluck. We think it's hilarious. They'll be going about their business, and you'll hear "cheep cheep cheep SORTACLUCK*. Then they're all quiet for a moment, like they're trying to figure out where on Earth that sound came from.

Nice Jacks. My Legos is a R&B Vidalia Great Grand son. Someone brought Car-Tan Remington to Alaska. There is not much going on showing or hunting up here. They are just getting into the dirt dog trials and those are exciting. Legos loves to Salmon Fish. Gets right on top of those fish.

Thanks! My newest stud Samson has some amazing names in his pedigree. He's got Fox Run Dagger on both sides of his pedigree(who he resembles) Along with Crossruff Valley Forge, and old Glory Dylan. Samson is a 3rd generation pup of mine. And so far he does very well(he's my avatar pic lol)

Alaska is far away! Canada has Jack Russell trials. The Jack Russell Terrier Club of Canada is also with the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America. So people can do both Countries trials. There website is www.jrtcc.com. Maybe they might have some trials close to you. Or you could have your own

I have 2 bantams that have just started laying, and they sort of cluck... but, one of the bantams sounds more like an exotic parrot.

Mine are 12 weeks and I heard my boy give his first attempt at a crow yesterday!!!! He is BIG too! Towers over the girls. It sounded pretty good! Its was kind of an "ARRRAROOOO!" I've heard some start off by sounding like a car battery trying to start lol. He is still submissive to my older hens though, i wonder how long til he starts trying to climb the ranks...
