When does your (kids') school start?

My kids start school, uh, whenever I get my plum jam finished.

Dang tree never had fruit on it before. We homeschool, so we start whenever we want.

Saddina I have trained as a Science teacher but have not yet got a job. I live in N Ireland were teaching jobs are quite scarce. But I totally agree with your attitude to homework! I think it’s an out dated and useless activity. People today do not lead the sort of lives were they can sit down and give their kids help with homework. My little one loves helping me look after the chicks and loves reading books - activities which are much more interesting. I can remember lots of occasions when I was busy colouring in for my kids, as part of their homework. He secondary school on 27th August, his first term at big school.

We always start the Wednesday after Labor Day...I drive a school bus and this yr. We're going toa one bell system...should be fun...So K-12 will be on the bus together...ug.

I share my bus with middle schoolers, them pesky things, (no offense to any middle schoolers here) and its a tight squeeze and what time do you start? it can't be too early for the young ones but how late can you go?

DS goes to a year-round charter school,so we started July 21st. His first 3 week break is coming up on Sept. 21. His school is awesome!!! The classes are small, the teachers are dedicated, and you feel like part of a big family when you visit.

Starting in 1st grade, if your child is above grade level in reading, they put them in an upper class for reading. That way they are continually challenged. Once they are in 2nd, they do the same with math and science.

We love the environment and he actually looks forward to going to school every morning!

My son is to young to go to school but I was surprised to see the kids here where I live go back 2 weeks ago. When I was in school we started the second weekend of september.

my little guys elementary starts up Aug 27. Older son is supposed to start CDL training school in December.

My oldest two started college classes today, the youngest two don't start until September 8. Michigan law, school can't start until after Labor Day, we need the tourism money!!
