When is it safe to introduce a chook with scaley leg mites?

I have a rescued chook who managed to escape being eaten by a fox, while the rest of the flock got eaten. Sadly she does have scaley leg mites and basically has no scales and her legs are swollen. I have treated her and kept her isolated from my girls. I gently washed her legs and smothered them in vasoline.

Know I am wondering, how long should I wait until she can go out into the coop with the rest of my girls? I don't want them to get it but I also don't want her to sit alone in my laundry.

You should really wait til she is healed, which will be a while from the sound of it. You may want to arrange another temporary coop and pen for her.

How will I know when she is healed? Would it be ok to let her out for a scratch by herself if she doesn't come in contact with my girls? Thanks.
