I have a chick almost 5 weeks old with both of his/her outer-most toes curled under. It walks, hops, flies, perches, and runs just fine though it is a bit clumsy. The toes aren't THAT noticeable, but I imagine as it gets heavier they could come to be problematic. I have held it and stretched out its toes and there does not seem to be a real problem, it just never stretches them out on its own. I know folks fix the toes of young chicks by building them braces, but is it too late to help mine? Is there anything I can do for 'Pinky'? Of the 25, its the kids' favorite and I have committed to keeping it if its a girl and I don't want them to see it's health decline as it gets older because I didn't fix its feet.
