I'll be first , ya just have to find a patch of skin that isnt already done, or you can play connect the dots, I have dots all over my left arm and wrist due to checking the rabbit tatt gun lol.
Not many can say they test tattoo guns on themselves before trying it on an animal Vick! What we do or our babies....
If you look at my left hand there is the house symbol, a gods eye a triangle and a half arsed heart, all where I was making sure the gun was working right, I also did this because I was very disgruntled as to how the clamp tattoo'ers work on rabbits, its very cruel.
I had one rabbit that had to be done 4 times, his ear wouldnt take the ink, the 4th time he was clamped he screamed like no tomorrow, trust me that sound makes the hair stand straight up on your neck,
I sold the clamp and bought the pen, now its done in about 30 seconds and no pain. although they will shake their head a bit when you tickle a nerve.
no pain which is perfect.
Before I used it on the rabbits ear though I had to be sure that it was in fact less painfull, and it was, so now to make sure the gun works right I dit and dash the arm, if the arm holds ink then it will stay in the rabbits ear.
and Yes I am all for doing what it takes for my critters, even tattooing my own arm, and another reason I have a distinct HATE for bands and zip ties.
