When it rains............the sage brush smells so, so good.



ETA: When it rains.......sometimes my head gets wet but my feet stay dry. (sometimes the rain does not make it to the ground - it evaporates first)

The best are our bantam ducks drilling in the mud. They make the holes so big their entire body can fit into it. Once they have their spot big enough they won't let anyone else drill near them. They get so ferocious!

I try not to complain and take in how good the air smells afterward!!

But....right now we are ankle deep in mud..with rain coming tomorrow!!.........this is the day that the Lord hath made!!
