When it Rains it Pours is Right!....CRAP!!!!!!!!!

Sooooo...we knew we needed thousands of dollars worth of roof repairs a couple months ago....haven't had the money to deal with it....we knew we were going to owe on taxes...didn't think it would be *too* much...

Hubby went to an accountant on Monday.....we owe $2000 in taxes.....tonight...I was sitting in the living room...all the sudden *drip* *drip* *drip* .....that's right...ceiling is now officially leaking in our living room...roof repairs can't be put off anymore... NOW???? Seriously NOW??!!! We have NO money in savings...hubby is having to borrow from his retirement savings so we can pay our taxes and fix the roof.....

and of course it has to be chick season and I have but one lonely rooster (a bantam phoenix that we picked up monday night) because all of my little serama chickies that I hatched from shipped eggs last year got predatorized!

i'm sorry, sometimes life just isn't fair.

i'm going through hard times myself, not financially and emotionally. i keep telling myself that it will get better. my mom has always told me that things have to get worse before they get better.

I feel your pain! We had to fork over 2K as well for the last 2 years.

But on the bright side - bad luck usually comes in 3's right? You got the taxes and roof and lack of chickens..... It can only get better from here!

Oh I am so sorry to hear that, what a slap in the face when you need that money so bad. I wish you could put taxes on hold as you quite literally need a roof over your head more. Big hugs to you, try to concentrate on the good and the love in your life.

trying to focus on positives.....but hard to do when you have no money! we're both trying to get better paying jobs now....I currently work at a petstore with some great people......but i just don't get paid enough...I left petco to work at this job b/c I was moving and it was a management position (department manager) and I was told I'd be making about the same as I was at petco.............it was a brand new store when I started and we were all on temporary status at a pay just over what I was making at petco and I was told I'd stay around that pay...........I started in november....come last january they finally put us to regular employee status.....and my pay dropped $1.50/hour......to what I'd STARTED at at petco with less responsibilities well over a year prior! I only just got my first raise here in December of $0.50/hour....still less than I was making at petco when I left after working there for over a year with still less responsibilities than I have in my current job! I have a college degree in animals sciences and went to vet school for a year before choosing not to return (even though I had a gpa over 3).......and i'm getting paid less than $10 an hour. My job hunt isn't going well either.

No eggs, no chicks, THIS time of the year?!?!?! Forget the roof and the darn government!!!! GET CHICKS!!!!!!! Yeah I'm joking, but that is how I would feel too. Sorry you're having a cruddy time, and I hope things start looking up for you SOON!!!!!!
