When quails are not quails

I assume looking up "quail" items online will give me consistently wrong sizes for jumbo coturnix. What bird species is more comparable?

Anyone know the band size to use for Jumbos? Or egg holders/cartons?

Use chukar egg cartons they're perfect for jumbo quail eggs. I just band with zip ties when I band at all. It's easy/cheap just requires good notes to keep track since you only have colors to go on not numbers.

Thanks. I've always used numbered plastic split bands on my parrotlets and budgies. Are the jumbo birds themselves also comparable to the chukar birds in size if I wanted to keep to split bands?

Not sure if I'll switch, but found some numbered zip ties for the best of both worlds:
